I was watching the Harry Potter movies with my 3 year old daughter the other night and found myself becoming increasingly concerned with the escalating theme of death. More than a few characters bite the dust and I subsequently began imagining myself explaining death to my toddler.
Then it struck me...why the fuck am I worried about my daughter learning about a natural course of life when there exists a true evil out there right now, poisoning our daughters' minds...the artificial, Disney-created, bullshit notion of princesses.
These fairy tales teach our daughters nothing more than that beauty is king and how to land their dream prince. Now that is truly a scary thought!
On a side note, these Harry Potter movies kick ass!
